Polish House Warming Charm Gift

This is always such a delight to make, give and receive, and very unknown.
An old Polish custom, according to my ancient Polish step grandmother

Dry a piece of bread for a day or so.  I have used plain white, rye is great and interesting.

Cut out a construction paper heart about the size of the bread.

Write on the heart: May your home always have money, food and love.

Take a plain sandwich bag (I cut the flap at the ends so it lifts up) and insert the heart, bread and a dollar bill.
I always save the fresh new ones for just this.

Tie it up with pretty ribbons, a plain bow, or a little house trinket.

Add a note in the outside that says: "Place this high in a kitchen cupboard, but don't forget it when you move."

You could add the word "luck" to the saying and add some kind of a luck charm, as well.
